Karachi: Three Hindus were gunned down in a remote southern Pakistani town in a dispute over a dancing girl with a local Muslim tribe on Monday..According to report, the incident took place Chak town near Shikarpur district of Sindh province when two armed men open fire on a clinic, killing three Hindu doctors at the spot.
“Two men riding a motorbike opened fire at a clinic, killing three Hindu doctors and wounding paramedic seriously,”Pakistan Hindu Council chief Ramesh Kumar told foreign news agency that the dispute had erupted between the Hindu community and the local Muslim tribe after local Hindu boys brought a Muslim dancing girl to the area.“Police raided the house where the girl was dancing and arrested four boys,” said Kumar.He said that the issue had been taken to the local assembly of elders to be resolved peacefully after the ongoing Eid holidays, but before that could happen the shooting took place, he said.The social and political circle condemned the incident and demanded of government to action against the attackers and protect minority in the area.Meanwhile, the Hindu community staged a protest against the killing of the doctors before last rituals of the doctors
Mandi Bahauddin: Social and political circles have strongly condemned the brutal murder of four Hindu doctors in Shikarpur district of Sindh province of Pakistan.
Talking to The News Tribe correspondent, they said that the incident was intolerable and it was against the teachings of Islam and ideology of Pakistan as envisioned by the Quad.
They further said such brutal treatment against minorities can seriously disturb the harmonious environment in the country. They called the government, political leadership of all parties, religious leaders and members of civil society to stand up together to protect our Hindu, Christians and other minority brother and sisters.
Muniba Gondal District General Secretary Labor Party Pakistan (LPP) said Hindu and Christian are the old natives of this land and it was not fair for Muslims to treat them with discrimination on the basis of religion.
She said they were equally patriotic citizens of this land and their services to the nation were commendable.
Sheikh Saleem a local leader of new political party Mustaqbil Pakistan said religion based discrimination was on increase in our society and that was very dangerous for the integrity and progress of the nation.
He condemned the macabre incident of killing four doctors of Hindu community and demanded of government of Sindh to take stern action against the culprits.
